From Simple to Fancy, garden harvest artistry is a lovely example lof the deep appreciation gardeners have for the food, herbs and flowers they grow.
Gardeners love the stages of gardening, (well, except for the pests)! From seed to sprout, sprout to plant, plant to flowers, flowers to food, then the garden harvest. And some love to play with their food. If this is you, we’d love to see and share your garden harvest artistry here and on our social platforms with credit to you.
Perhaps you’re celebrating harvests, (or feeling overwhelmed about now). Or you may be battling squash bugs and other pests demolishing your crops. That happened to us. What do groundhogs eat? Everything in our garden!
Whatever it may be for you, hopefully these will inspire and encourage you to keep on going and growing in your efforts to grow beautiful food, plants and gardens, even when the going gets tough.
Garden Harvests and Artistry

“My 12 year granddaughter wanted to get creative with tonight’s harvest.
It was a good night in the garden.
Green beans and Okra wouldn’t fit in the picture!“

Drying Rose Petals for Bouquets and Rosewater
I’m mostly drying rose petals today. A couple of bouquets, but I also made a small batch of rose water to go with a diy salve for skin needs.

I’m LeAura Alderson, a garden, herb and plant enthusiast with a passion for discovering the many edible and medicinal benefits of the plants all around us, including the weeds, while transforming the land through regenerative permaculture practice. I am also a writer, editor and media publisher (now mostly retired due to replacement by AI), but which now allows more time to build our regenerative permaculture homestead farm.
